Scarves can be made from any fabric. Knits feel best, because of the drape (limpness). Sweaters are my preferred starting point - I can make virtually any sweater into a scarf, extending its life. There is a caveat. If it is damaged, I will do my best not to damage it more and thus have as much usable fabric as possible. HOWEVER, I am not resposible for the outcome of damaged goods. I launder all sweaters I receive with the utmost care. Once a sweater knit is damaged or weakened, it WILL unravel quickly and easily, thus increasing the damage. Here are some examples of CUSTOM SCARVES that I have made: Sweaters can be made of any fiber (wool, cashmere, acrylic, etc.). I can add cashmere to any scarf if there is not enough fabric in the sweater or if you want a contrasting color.
